This year marks the 36th year that the prestigious Swiss wristwatch and luxury goods company has served as the 1000 Miglia’s World Sponsor and Official Timekeeper. To celebrate the 36th year together, Chopard introduced five new timepieces that are destined to become highly desired collector’s items in the feature.<\/p>\n

\"Chopard<\/p>\n

These new models sport the Chopard\u2019s exclusive Lucent Steel material to create the 40mm sturdy case. This material, which uses recycled materials from a variety of industries, including the medical, aerospace, automotive, and watchmaking industries, is 50% more robust than standard steel.<\/p>\n

Each timepiece may be combined with the brand’s signature rubber strap, which is styled like a 1960s Dunlop race tyre, or a strap made of deep brown calfskin leather that is inspired by the vintage driving gloves.<\/p>\n

\"Chopard<\/p>\n

These new models really stand out for their distinctive dial colors, each of which was inspired by the exterior paint shades and interior trim details often found on pre-1957 automobiles, the kind of cars that we often see in the 1000 Miglia race.<\/p>\n

The dial color variations include Nero Corsa (racing black), Rosso Amarena (cherry red), Grigio-Blu (grey blue), and Verde Chiaro (light green), the shades that are really classic and elegant at the same time. As part of a 36-year tradition, each watch also sports a small “1000 Miglia” route marking on the dial and case back. This gives an added level of authenticity.<\/p>\n

With only 100 pieces produced, the Mille Miglia GTS Chrono Limited Edition Italy is something that will be desired by the market. It is made of Lucent Steel, same like the Classic Chronographs, but it is bigger at 44mm.<\/p>\n

This particular model has a tachymeter scale, which is excellent for calculating speed and distance, and an olive green bezel decorated with the green and red colors of Italy. Additionally, it has substantial “mushroom” pushers, a big crown, and other features that make it easy to hold and operate while driving. Also, the share of the sales earnings will be given to help those affected by the recent floods in Emilia-Romagna.<\/p>\n
