Many variants have come and gone over the years, but every now and then, Audemars Piguet manages to freshen it up to the point where it seems fresh and exciting all over again.<\/p>\n

Audemars Piguet introduced two new models of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon 26730, in white or rose gold with dimple dials. Both feature the classic APRO flair, but with a pleasant textural variation.<\/p>\n

Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Dimpled Dial 26730BC<\/p><\/div>\n

The case and bracelet are made of white or rose gold, and the bezel is hand-hammered and frosted. The size is 41mm in diameter and 10.6mm in height.<\/p>\n

The dials are unique in that they forego the traditional Tapisserie style embellishment in favor of a circular brushed and dimpled texture. Available in deep blue (for white gold) or chocolate brown (for rose gold), it appears to be really nice based on the photographs.<\/p>\n

Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Dimpled Dial 26730OR<\/p><\/div>\n

The texture adds dimension and appears to dance with light excellently. The remainder is standard, with white gold applied indexes, white gold hands with illuminating inlays, and so on.<\/p>\n

Technically, both models rely on the in-house Calibre 2950, which debuted with the Code 11.59 in 2019 and has since made its way into a number of Royal Oaks. This automatic movement is made up of 270 parts and is powered by a flying tourbillon escapement, which is visible via the circular dial aperture. Meanwhile, the power reserve is up to 65 hours.<\/p>\n

The Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon 26730BC (white gold) and 26730OR (rose gold), like other Royal Oaks, are presented on the characteristic linked bracelet in white gold or rose gold. The bracelet is brushed and polished rather than frosted, which makes the bezel stand out even more.<\/p>\n
