<\/p>\nIWC Schaffhausen has designed the Big Pilot’s Watch Constant-Force Tourbillon Edition “AMG ONE OWNERS” in partnership with Mercedes-AMG. This horological masterpiece is only available to future Mercedes-AMG ONE performance hybrid owners. It includes the Swiss luxury watchmaker’s proprietary constant-force mechanism, which delivers perfectly even force impulses to the escapement.<\/p>\n
IWC’s innovative constant-force mechanism is included in the Big Pilot’s Watch Constant-Force Tourbillon Edition “AMG ONE OWNERS” (Ref. 590502). This complication disconnects the escapement from the wheel train’s direct power supply and transfers perfectly even energy impulses to the escape wheel.<\/p>\n
The 94800 calibre, made by IWC, is manually wound and has a 96-hour power reserve in its dual barrels. The sapphire glass back allows you to see the entirely blackened movement. This IWC-developed material is based on a unique titanium alloy and is as light and stiff as titanium while also durable and scratch-resistant as ceramic.<\/p>\n

The case is composed of aluminized titanium (TiAl). TiAl is more lightweight and tougher than traditional titanium and is more corrosion resistant and biocompatible. This high-tech substance belongs to the intermetallic compound family. As a result, the material has nonmetallic qualities in addition to its traditional metal capabilities.<\/p>\n
In addition to the constant-force tourbillon at 9 o’clock, the black dial contains a double moon phase display for the northern and southern hemispheres and a power reserve indication at 4 o’clock that looks like a tachymeter. The outer dial ring is inspired by the air inlets that dominate the Mercedes-AMG ONE’s front.<\/p>\n
Petronas green, the hallmark colour of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula OneTM team, is also included in the design. A narrow ring in Petronas green marks the transition between the polished and sandblasted sections of the case. Petronas green details can also be seen on the dial and several movement components.<\/p>\n

A two-tone rubber strap is included with the IWC Big Pilot’s Watch Constant-Force Tourbillon Edition “AMG ONE OWNERS.” Thanks to the so-called multi-component injection moulding method, it’s black on the outside and green on the inside. There are several Mercedes stars on the outside of the strap in Petronas green.<\/p>\n
