Zenith<\/a> has been paralleling the modern watch designs with their models from the past, especially those from the early ’70s, which also marked the birth of the groundbreaking El Primero movement, the first chronograph movement in the world. Recently, Zenith introduced the latest El Primero model called Zenith Defy Extreme.<\/p>\n

This watch comes with the sturdy yet lightweight 45mm grade 5 titanium case and El Primero 9004 movement visible through the clear sapphire crystal. The first version comes with a micro-blasted finish, mixing metal with small beads to remove the shimmer effect. The result is a matte case surface that swallows light and has a dashing effect.<\/p>\n

The new Defy Extreme case also has extra architectural layers in its construction to enhance the angular appearance, including a dodecagon between the bezel and the main body and a second dodecagon that forms the transparent case back frame. Even with a hint of matte titanium, this case produces an attractive glow.<\/p>\n

The second and third watches are more luxurious in their decoration, coming with a brushed finish on some sides and polished on the other. At the same time, other models come with a \u2018dark\u2019 look with a combination of titanium and rose gold. This model appears more elegant and not too flashy.<\/p>\n

Consisting of a sapphire dial with applied counters, the dial of the DEFY Extreme combines depth and contrast with oversized hands and markers filled with bright Super-LumiNova for the ultimate legibility in all conditions.<\/p>\n

On the inside, The Defy Extreme is powered by the El Primero 21 caliber, an exceptionally precise and yet rugged 1\/100th of a second automatic chronograph with two escapements, beating independently at 36\u2019000 VpH for the timekeeping part and 360\u2019000 VpH for the chronograph.<\/p>\n

This collection comes with the supplied titanium bracelet, rubber strap and Velcro strap, each with its own unique look and properties, with a quick strap-change mechanism to swap them on the go.
