The collection carries its genetic code in the name itself:<\/p>\n

11:59 is an acronym that stands for \u201cChallenge, Own, Dare, Evolve,\u201d while the \u201c11.:59\u201d timestamp represents the final moment before a brand new day. Although always looking at tomorrow, the collection continues to move forward, building on the past.<\/p>\n

Designed for both men and women, the collection\u2019s 41 mm case is endowed with an ergonomic curvature suiting all types of wrists despite its large size, as the collection has been designed for both men and women.<\/p>\n

The case also boldly embeds an octagonal middle case within a round extra-thin bezel and case back. Meanwhile, the upper part of the open-worked lugs is welded to the extra-thin bezel, while the lower part leans delicately against the case back in perfect alignment. This case\u2019s complex architecture cuts through the timeline of Audemars Piguet\u2019s long history of design experimentation.<\/p>\n

The collection\u2019s Selfwinding and Selfwinding Chronograph models feature a contemporary lacquered dial that offers an interesting play of light. Audemars Piguet has made a contemporary double curved sapphire crystal whose tense, arched profile plays with depth, perspective, and light to protect the dial. This sapphire crystal is vertically curved from 6 to 12 o\u2019clock, while its internal surface is shaped like a dome for a unique optic experience.<\/p>\n

The collection\u2019s Selfwinding Chronograph is powered by a new movement known as Calibre 4401. This movement replaces the current in-house movement that it recently used in various Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore models.<\/p>\n

The Calibre is endowed with an integrated chronograph with a vertical column wheel and flyback function that enables to restart of the chronograph without stopping or resting it first and an instant-jump date indication. The new movement operates at 4Hz and comes with 70 hours of power reserve.<\/p>\n

The updates happen not only on the technical aspect but also the aesthetic of the movement. It has beautiful architecture and decorations and a dedicated 22-carat pink gold open-worked oscillating weight visible through the case back.<\/p>\n

The smoked lacquered blue dial features an 18-carat pink gold applied hour-markers and hands and a 24-carat pink gold applied logo in galvanic growth. Lastly, there\u2019s a hand-stitched \u201clarge square scale\u201d blue alligator strap with 18-carat pink gold pin buckle to complete the watch.<\/p>\n

The watch\u2019s two-tone design is enhanced by a light grey lacquered dial adorned with a contemporary sunburst motif. The dial\u2019s grey hues are illuminated by 18-carat pink gold hour-markers and hands, as well as a 24-carat gold logo made in galvanic growth.<\/p>\n
